A Royal Occasion!

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Tea Party!

What an amazing day we had yesterday celebrating the Platinum Jubilee.

It was such a lovely afternoon watching all the children presenting their ‘Dancing through the Decades’ and then everyone enjoyed their tea party on the field. Thank you to all the parents who came in to help, all the teachers for their dancing prowess and especially to Mrs Wheat and Mrs Hall who did the entire organisation and managed everything so brilliantly! All of the dances have been recorded and information on how you can access them on Google Classroom will be sent separately. Of course, please do not share these films with anyone.

Thank you to everyone who came along to the Book Share.

It was certainly very well received by everyone and such a lovely opportunity to welcome parents back into school. If you didn’t manage to attend we will be sending all the books home at the end of the school year.

We also promised to send you a summary of discussions at the ‘Coffee and Chat’ morning but it has been such a busy week, these will now be sent out after half term.

Don’t forget … Summer Fete Saturday June 11th 11.00 – 4.00pm Lots of help needed – please sign up on the rota in the entrance lobby.

We are delighted to announce that Miss Vivian and Mr Maranian are expecting their second baby later in the year. I am sure you will all join me in congratulating them on this exciting news. We are also pleased to be able to tell you that Mr Oliver Palmer will be teaching Cedar class for the next academic year. He is an experienced teacher who is excited to be joining us.

A date for your diaries!

Sports Day will be held on Friday 1st July 2022. Key Stage 2 will be at 10.00am and EYFS and KS1 will be at 1.30pm. Parents are welcome to come and watch but must vacate the school site over lunchtime.

And so we reach the end of another hugely successful half term. Thank you to everyone for all their hard work.  School opens again on Monday 6th June.

Please remember school is closed for INSET and the Jubilee bank holiday on 17th and 20th June 2022.

If you have any concerns about your child / children, please do not hesitate to make an appointment to come and see me.

Yours sincerely

Mary Driver
