Busy Weeks in Holly

We’ve had a busy couple of weeks in Holly class. Here are a few of the things we have been learning about.

In Geography, the children walked to Wymondley Road to complete a traffic survey. It was no surprise that cars were the most popular form of transport recorded.

In Maths, we have been learning about position and direction. We worked in pairs to give directions using the correct vocabulary (forwards, backwards, turn clockwise, half a turn, a quarter of a turn etc.)

On Tuesday, the children from Year 5 came to share a story with Year One. As you can see they loved this!

Today in Science, we planted Basil seeds. We will be monitoring and recording how they get on over the next few weeks.
