William Ransom took a clean sweep of the boys and girls table tennis tournament this week with some incredible performances. The teams went into the tournament with high expectations, after winning the tournament last year and the girls also progressing through the level 3 tournament, all the way to the nationals.
We got off to a great start and didn’t drop a set against our first opponents. This seemed to continue throughout the group stages, with the WR team only dropping 3 sets between them. This took us to the top of our group where we faced Pixmore in the final.
Both the boys teams and the girls teams did incredibly well once more with the number 1 and 2 seeds starting us off with a clean sweep. This was quickly followed by some excellent play by the rest of the team to take them all the way to winning both shields.
It’s now onto the level 3 tournament, which will take place on the 9th of December in Bushey. Good luck!
