Great Fire of London Day – Hazel class

Hazel class have had a brilliant day learning about what life was like during the Great Fire of London. They began the day by making soda bread with Mrs Kitchen. Everyone had a go at kneading and shaping the dough – it was hard work! Then we took our Tudor houses outside and packed them close together just like the streets of London in 1666. Mr Carmody set fire to the houses while we watched from a safe distance. It was very exciting! We then wrote some diary entries describing what the fire was like. This afternoon we created some art work using oil pastels and black sugar paper. We finished the day by recreating London buildings using Lego and wooden blocks.
