Information from Mrs Driver

School Journey
On Sunday we set off on our annual School Journey with our Year 6 pupils. Once again we are heading to North Wales from Sunday 22nd May – Friday 27th May. Therefore I will not be available in school. If you have any queries during the week, please contact Mrs Brown. Keep an eye on the school website as we hope to be able to keep you all up to date with what we are all doing in Snowdonia!

Building work
The building work is now beginning to take shape and we are expecting the new classrooms to be delivered in the middle of June. I am assured by all parties concerned that the building will be ready to receive children in September.

Books
After half term we will be keeping an eye on the weather and if it is set fair, we will be putting out all the books we are getting rid of. They are excellent for supporting your children at home. Please watch out on Twitter for news!

Lacrosse
I am delighted to say that our Pop Lacrosse team have reached the National Finals for the 12th year! This is an absolutely amazing achievement and Mrs Light and I will be travelling to Sheffield to support the team on Sunday 26th June .

We also have a number of children representing the school in different sporting events at the North Herts Games including Cricket and Tag Rugby. Good luck to everyone competing!

School Fete
Once we return after half term, we reach the final half term of the year with lots to pack into those weeks. I hope you are keeping the 11th June free as it is the School Fete. This is our major fundraiser for the year and we do rely on support from everyone! The rota is already up in the school entrance so please come along and sign up and volunteer for stalls. The theme this year is Where’s Wally!  We do need lots of people to come along and help on the day, if you are unsure of how you can help, please talk to any member of the SPA or come into school to talk to one of us!

Let’s hope that the sun shines for us next week and I hope you all have a lovely half term break when it finally gets here. We look forward to seeing all the children back at school on Monday 6th June 2015.
Yours sincerely

Mary Driver
