Year 6 Lion King trip

On Wednesday 24th May, Year 6 visited London in order to watch the West End show ‘The Lion King’. Unfortunately, we didn’t get quite as long as we’d have liked for sight seeing, due to heavy traffic getting into London, but we spotted St Paul’s cathedral from the bus. We stopped off near Embankment for lunch and then walked up to Waterloo bridge to enjoy the view across the river.

The show was amazing and the children had the best seats in the house – four rows from the front of the stalls, right near the stage.

Thanks to Mrs Driver’s connections with Disney, we were then lucky enough to meet two cast members – Scar and Zazu – and ask them a few questions. This inspired our Year 6s, who are currently in rehearsals for their very own production of The Lion King junior.

A fabulous day was had by all!
